Dunedin is experiencing a big growth in its economy and the heart of this is a construction boom. To support this growth, Dunedin City Council’s Building Services team has an opportunity for a Senior Education and Relationships Officer.
This newly created role will have responsibility of identifying opportunities to improve our systems, processes, and services. Once the opportunities are identified you will assist, educate, and inform people on technical building consent matters to help them get it right first time.

To be successful in this role you will have the following:
- A minimum of ten years’ experience in one or more building industry disciplines
- A proven track record of building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
- Experience of undertaking training, presentations, and engaging others
- Communication skills: ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written at all levels
- Computer skills: ability to learn new/bespoke computer software and well as an intermediate knowledge of Microsoft suite of products
You must hold an appropriate NZQA qualification as per regulation 18 of the Building (Accreditation of Building Consent Authorities) Regulations 2006 for this role.

- Permanent full-time opportunity working 37.5 hours per week
- Salary range from $76,346 – $103,292 per annum (dependent on qualifications, skills and experience)
