About the role
This is an exciting time of growth and development in Stantec. We are looking for a senior traffic/transport professional who wants to be a part of this expansion. We are looking for someone with skills in some or all of the following areas to enhance our teams in either Hamilton, Hastings, Nelson, Wellington or Auckland.
Transport Assessments
Land-use and development planning
Transport infrastructure & facility planning
Capacity analysis and intersection design
Access & parking design / assessments
Traffic engineering design & operational solutions
Smart cities, complete streets, sustainable travel
Active modes planning & design; accessibility
Reporting and presentation
Title:
Senior Traffic/Transport Engineer (Private Sector)
Qualifications:
To be successful for this role you’ll need:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
Be a chartered professional engineer (or equivalent) or working toward professional registration with EngNZ or an equivalent professional body
Sound experience (10 years’ +) at a professional level in the transportation industry
Confident and capable communicator, with business development skills
Excellent investigation, analytical and report writing skills
Experience in project management of large, technically complex projects
Able to build trust and provide support to peers and clients
Advanced time management skills and an ability to work to tight deadlines
Experience in the private sector desirable
