Title: STEAM Summer Youth Program Instructor
Start Date: Summer, 2022 (July 11 – August 5, 2022)
Position Description
Montserrat College of Art is seeking teachers for our summer S.T.E.A.M youth program (https://www.montserrat.edu/youth/) in Beverly, Massachusetts! The ideal candidates will have experience working with creative students between the ages of 8 and 15. The program runs over four consecutive weeks starting July 11th. Each week a new set of courses are offered. One class is equal to approximately 15 hours of work between class time and preparation. We are looking for folks who are interested in teaching for a single week or for the full program!
In addition to art teachers who can teach in multiple areas of study, the college is also looking for some science-minded teachers who can teach:
- 3D Printing with a Purpose
- Kid MD: Medical Scientist
- Circuit Explorer
- Mini Engineers
- Watts Up?
- Kid/teen MD: Medical Scientist
Requirements
Prior teaching experience is required; Massachusetts Teaching License is preferred. Strong leadership, oral and written communication skills.

Teachers are responsible for lesson plan writing/delivery + running the course during their assigned time slot. The program also has rising college students to act as teaching assistants.
