About the Role
The Talent Manager is responsible for two key initiatives within the Institute of Data: Hiring Top Talent and The career outcomes of our students
This key role ensures that our students, graduates and members are engaged, completing their job outcomes program and tasks and are ultimately being hired by industry.
An effective Talent Manager will support our students and graduates, motivating them on their journey and monitoring their progress. You will be responsible for assisting students in updating their resume and LinkedIn profile and helping to stay motivated during their job search.
Our students are graduating with skills in data science and artificial intelligence, cyber security and digital marketing and have a number of opportunity pathways open to them. You will match them to specific employers, recruiters and consultants. In addition, you will support their career transition through the interview, offer and negotiation process.
You will network with industry professionals to build the Institute of Datas brand in the market while engaging individuals to speak at events and host employee information sessions.
Additionally the Talent Manager is responsible for supporting the Head of Talent with HR and Recruitment efforts globally. The types of roles you could expect to recruit are everything from Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, Data Scientist, Cyber Security Consultants, Writers & Content Producer, Student Services just to name a few.
Responsibilities
- Maximise the job outcomes rate and student/member experience
- Ensure each and every graduate maximises their potential and achieves a job role suitable for their skills, aptitude and goals
- Motivate, coach and keep students personally accountable for maximising their potential
- Understand students on a personal level to support weaknesses and extend strengths
- Assist with resumes, linkedin profiles, presentation, manner and interview technique
- Assist with introductions and connections to the hiring managers, recruiters and industry executives in the IOD community
- Build strong relationships with our Industry Partners including hiring managers, business leaders and recruiters
- The effective training of students with interview, resume writing and salary negotiation skills in a classroom or virtual classroom setting
- Manage the contract trainer recruitment in AU, NZ & Singapore while supporting the Head of Talent on on various HR and Recruitment related tasks.
- Build strong talent pools and keep the warm while managing the 360 recruitment process.
