Position Information
Belmore Boys’ High School is a family of approximately 515 students and 65 teaching and non-teaching staff, located in Southwest Sydney. Our diverse student population represents 34 languages with 98% of students from language backgrounds other than English.
Our school specialises on boys’ education, focusing on the academic, social and emotional growth of our students. Our boys enjoy positive relationships with their teachers and peers, which allows them to be creative and confident learners who recognise the importance of learning and wellbeing. Our learning environment provides students with tailored learning experiences through planned, explicit and differentiated learning activities. Specific Selection Criteria
- Approval to teach Music. Approval and or willingness to teach Music Ext 1 and 2.
- Approval and or Willingness to teach Visual Art.
- Demonstrated ability to differentiate teaching and learning to cater for students with a diverse range of abilities and socioeconomic and linguistic backgrounds.
- Capacity to establish and run school initiatives that engage students and contribute toward a positive school image.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to enhance student wellbeing by building relationships to engage students, staff and community.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
From 8 November 2021 all Department of Education employees undertaking relevant work, including any work conducted on a NSW school site, will be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
