We are now seeking applications for a part-time Veterinarian to join us. This position will primarily be based in New Plymouth, Taranaki – a beautiful part of New Zealand boasting record breaking sunshine hours and winner of the international most livable city award.

About the role:

Reporting directly to the Australian based AANZ Veterinarian and the NZ Operations Manager, this role will work with the dedicated, enthusiastic and energetic New Zealand Operations team. This role is primarily responsible for managing poultry Veterinary Health and regulatory activities. Key aspects of the role include maintaining and optimising health standards through the process of the implementation of prescribed monitoring, Biosecurity and Animal Welfare in cooperation with the AANZ Veterinarian and the Global Health Monitoring team. As you will also be importing and exporting genetic stock, there is a requirement to liaise with both government and industry responsible authorities.

You’ll have:

  • 2+ years of experience in an associated field or familiar industry
  • The necessary recognised qualifications that are registered or registerable in Australia and New Zealand
  • An existing visa with open work right in New Zealand
  • An ability to meet our biosecurity requirements
