Top Energy has operations throughout the Far North. The Company is privately owned by a power consumer trust and employs staff in Geothermal Generation and Distribution Lines operations. It is an exciting time to join us, with electricity having an increasingly critical role to play, as we electrify the country and move to a low carbon future.
We are seeking a Corrective Maintenance Coordinator that will report to the Corrective Maintenance Team Leader based at the Kerikeri or Kaitaia Office.
Key areas of focus will be:
To be a key participant in the delivery of the Corrective Maintenance Plan with a focus on defect investigation and remedial solutions design for substation equipment and field control and protection equipment. Responsibilities include:
- Delivering the annual Corrective Maintenance Plan in relation to substation, generation, communications, control, and protection equipment
- Anticipate and mitigate risk in daily activities and in packaged work as appropriate
- Review, prioritise and coordinate recorded system defects
- Coordinate with stakeholders (property, procurement, AIS, operations, planning and service providers) as appropriate during the design process
- Review completed work and work with service providers to correct any non-compliances
- Lead small projects
To succeed in this role, you will have a relevant Certificate or trade qualification, a minimum 5 years’ experience in the electrical distribution industry, experience in working alone and in a team environment and a full, current, clean driver’s license.
The role would suit a substation technician, fitter or electrician with very good written and verbal communication skills and an eye for detail. You will enjoy organising and planning and may be looking to reduce time on the tools, but still be able to put your years of technical experience in the electricity distribution industry to good use. There may be the opportunity to participate in afterhours fault response or planned field work, though this must be balanced with your primary duties.
