New Plymouth District Council is looking for all levels of Environmental Planners to join the high performing team in the new year including entry level, intermediate and senior level roles available. The work programme will be busy as the team delivers a comprehensive resource consent service fulfilling Council’s statutory obligations.
You will be future focused and committed to delivering sustainable solutions for the thriving New Plymouth District, as you guarantee legal compliance with the Resource Management Act, Building Act, District Plan and Infrastructural Standards.
The ideal candidate will have:
A demonstrated ability to build strong relationships as you work collaboratively with key stakeholders
A problem solving mindset, striving for continuous improvement whilst also managing stakeholder expectations.
A tertiary qualification in Resource Management or a related discipline
Experience in resource consent processing and policy or if a graduate a keen interest in resource consent processing
High level of written ability as well as top notch verbal communication skils
Action orientated and have the ability to deliver on multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
