About the role
National Assessment Facilitators lead the development of external assessment for the NCEA and for New Zealand Scholarship. This is an exceptional opportunity to further your career in education and make an important contribution to assessment at the national level for students.
You will be part of a collegial team of education professionals working at the forefront of innovation in NCEA and assessment. You will work closely with subject specialist teachers nationally and with Ministry of Education colleagues.
Applicants for this role will be respected by their peers for their contribution in teaching and assessment and will have extensive experience in senior secondary education.
Our Role NZQA is accountable for managing the New Zealand Qualifications Framework, administering the secondary school assessment system, independent quality assurance of non-university education providers, qualifications recognition and standard setting for some specified unit standards. National Assessment Facilitators play a vital role in the external assessment component of the secondary school assessment system.
