Dunedin Public Hospital
- Permanent, part-time 0.4 FTE (32 hours per fortnight)
We have an exciting part-time opportunity available for a positive and proactive individual to support our team on the Children’s Ward here at Dunedin Hospital.
This role will see you primarily focusing your attention to the overall needs of the Children’s Ward. This is a varied role within a clinical environment and as an exceptional team player you will need to be able to take instruction and direction from the nurses on the ward whilst having a helpful and team focused approach to making a difference to the environment and care provided to children under our care.
As Healthcare Assistant you will be involved in:
- Supporting our nurses and other members of the healthcare team
- Patient supervision
- Restocking equipment
- Ward maintenance
We are looking for someone who is:
- Holder of a current Food Handler’s Certificate – this is an essential requirement for this position
- Motivated with a positive approach to your work
- Patient and family/whanau focussed
- Compassionate and understanding
- Enthusiastic and friendly with bags of initiative
