Become a key member in the multi-disciplinary palliative care team caring for turoro and whanau in the Otago region.
We are looking for a community-focused individual with excellent relationship skills, who will facilitate links within the Hapori and deliver education across the health and social service sector.
The Kaimanaaki will provide guidance and advice, in a manner that reflects the mana and tikaka of Kai Tahu, to Hospice turoro and whanau, staff and volunteers and the Board. They will support our team to incorporate Tikaka Maori principles, beliefs and values in the delivery of all our services to ensure they are responsive to the wairua, hinengaro, tinana and whanau well-being of our turoro.
A tertiary qualification in a health profession and experience with Kaupapa Maori systems/health models and knowledge of tikaka Maori with proficiency/learning in Te Reo Maori and Te Ao
Maori – whakapapa, iwi, hapu, whanau – is essential. Recent and relevant experience in the health sector would be highly desirable.
