Remuneration: $99,338 – $107,513 (plus 17% superannuation and leave loading)

Why your role matters

The Academic Program Developer is responsible for supporting the design, delivery and quality assurance of existing academic development programs and initiatives. embedded with educational technologies. This role is expected to work flexibly and collaboratively across the Academic & Education Focused Development team and Education pillar, the wider portfolio, with faculties, schools and divisions.

Who you are

Our ideal candidate is passionate about professional development and has extensive experience in the area, bringing their deep understanding around the principles of learning and teaching to the team. They will be friendly and approachable with a client service focus.

To be sucessful in this role, you must be able to confidently support the delivery of professional development programs and initiatives to a range of stakeholders, mainly academic staff but also professional staff. You will also demonstrate a commitment to improve the learning and teaching experiences for staff and students.

Skills and experience required

To be successful you must have:

• Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience relevant to educational programs and initiatives.

• Demonstrated ability in the use of educational technologies including web-based learning management systems to facilitate learning and the ability to identify avenues for innovation and improvement in learning resources.

• Demonstrated experience contributing to the design and delivery of high-quality training programs and resources to academic staff, professional staff and students, with a customer focused approach.

• High-level problem-solving skills and ability to exercise initiative and autonomy in interacting with and critically evaluating new and emerging educational technologies for academic development programs to enhance the educational offering.

• Strong service orientation and client focussed together with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build and maintain positive and professional relationships with staff at all levels and internal and external stakeholders.

• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively and to contribute positively and proactively to the team’s work. Demonstrated self-motivation, initiative and judgement and the ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.

• An understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.

• Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
