Be challenged and imagine with us

As the Administration Officer (Research) you will provide high quality administrative support to staff and students with a particular focus on supporting research initiatives. This will give you an opportunity to learn about the research management space and will give you exposure to a broad variety of tasks.

In this role you will:

  • Answer Higher Degree by Research (HDR) student queries and provide support where needed
  • Reviewing grant applications Developing and refining processes for HDR student support and research support
  • Support with purchasing, financial reconciliation and financial reporting
  • Coordinate and organise the logistics for the annual research symposium
  • Manage the agenda and take minutes for research committee meetings
  • Assist with the preparation of reports
  • Coordinate research workshops and forums
  • Provide ad hoc admin support where required

This is a fixed-term 12-month opportunity primarily based at either the Callaghan Campus on Awabakal or the Central Coast Clinical School on Darkinjung land.

  • Experience with university financial accounting systems is desirable

Conditions & Benefits

The full-time equivalent remuneration is HEW 5 from $71,298 to $82,707 + 17% super and is commensurate with experience.
