Allied Health Clinical Coordinator-Paediatric Orthopaedics
role sits within the Child Development Service and Orthopaedic Department.
The Child Development Service are a community based team of
allied health professionals who are passionate about improving the health
outcomes of children with developmental delays or disabilities.
The Orthopaedic Department is based at Christchurch Hospital
with some clinics also at Burwood Hospital.
This is a
Permanent 0.6 vacancy 24 hours per week.

As the Allied Health Clinical Coordinator-Paediatric
Orthopaedics you will
- Work with Orthopaedic medical team to triage paediatric
orthopaedic referrals * Manage a clinical case load of those referred for
paediatric orthopaedic physiotherapy assessment * Work alongside Orthopaedic medical and nursing staff in
provision of paediatric orthopaedic assessment and interventions * Provide professional leadership and supervision of paediatric
orthopaedic physiotherapy clinical activity and practice, through provision of
expert clinical advice, consultation and support to clinical practitioners Essential skills and experience:
- Minimum bachelor-s degree in Physiotherapy. * NZ Registration with the relevant professional body. * A current Annual Practicing Certificate with Physiotherapy
Board * Minimum 5 years of clinical work experience in Paediatric
and/or Orthopaedic Physiotherapy. * Experience with clinical teaching/supervision, training and
development of staff * This
role will also be required to provide direct clinical care as appropriate to
