This is an exciting time to join the Health team and contribute to our work programme through this performance focused position. Our team leads the Treasury’s advice on agency and system performance in the health sector to demonstrate value in the use of a high demand resource and plays a key role in health system reform.
Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the Role
An efficient and effective health sector is at the heart of delivering higher living standards and wellbeing for New Zealanders and we have opportunities for Analysts and Senior Analysts to join our Health team. You will have a central role in our advice to Ministers on Health policy. This involves working alongside the Ministry of Health, corporate centre agencies and senior stakeholders.
Ō pūmanawa | About You
You’ll bring a broad public sector background, with experience in health policy or governance and accountability settings preferred. Experience with Budget processes would be an advantage, as would experience in financial and performance analysis. We are however, interested in candidates from a broad range of backgrounds. If you have been successful in guiding critical and complex policy areas, and you understand how to use your communication, leadership, relationship and analytical skills to get traction on complex policy problems, then we would like to hear from you.
For appointment at the senior level, you will already have a significant breadth and depth of at least 5 years’ relevant experience.
