About the role:
- A highly responsible role in managing the chiller’s stock and inventory in the FIFO method.
- Maintain stock in clean hygiene containers available and avoid any cross-contamination.
- Initiate quality checks when it is necessary.
- Managing the stock within the stock layout and responsible for the health and safety of his team throughout the production time.
- Daily stock-takes through scanning to ensure inventory accuracy is maintained, ensure the same information is reflected in the system and is available to key stakeholders at any time, and promptly resolve any variances.
- Lead continuous improvement to reduce all waste streams.
- Build strong relationships and work collaboratively with other departments to ensure effective delivery to meet customer expectations.
- Ensuring all processes, standards and policies are adhered to.
- Ensuring manufacturing production Plans are met with maximum effectiveness
- Ensuring product quality, processes and procedures are followed and conform to approved standards.
What you need to be successful in this role:
- You must have a minimum of three years of FMCG leadership experience.
- Having a manufacturing or distribution background would be ideal—inventory management.
- Must be physically fit; this role requires you to lift weights up to 25kgs t and work in a cold environment.
- Experience in working with E.R.P systems to update the inventory (Training provided).
- Proactive and lead the chiller staff by example.
- Interpret the production plan and prioritize the processing requirements to meet the order deadlines
