Are you looking for a varied and exciting career where no two days are the same?
We are looking for a Cage Wash Support Technician to help within our Facilities. This is an entry level position and may suit someone with an interest in animals who wishes to work towards becoming an animal technician.
- Providing daily support for a wide range of research.
- maintaining conventional and specific pathogen free conditions.
- Cage and room sanitization.
- Operation of autoclaves and industrial washers.
Skills and Experience/Kā pūkeka me kā wheako
Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous, full training will be given. The successful applicant will require a full drivers licence.
- Demonstrable experience of cleaning routines and use of disinfectants.
- Ability to plan, organise and prioritise a busy workload to specific timelines.
- Experience of using and maintaining machinery.
- Some knowledge of working and caring for animals.
Further Details/Pūroko
Weekend and Statutory holiday work will be required on a rostered basis.
This is a full time, permanent position.
