About the opportunity:
Our client was created from one of NZ’s oldest forklift companies, and was the last company to produce forklifts in NZ. They are currently looking to add a Diesel Mechanic to their team of professionals. This is a great opportunity as you will be working for a company with a long history and expansive experience in the industry.
Responsibilities will include:

Handling equipment including forklifts, tele-trucks, top lifts, reach stackers, loaders and other equipment
-
Maintaining and repairing heavy equipment
-
Preventative maintenance
-
Breakdown support
This role will suit someone with the following background / experience / qualities:
-
5 years mechanical experience working on forklifts or similar handling equipment
-
Experienced in maintaining and repairing a range of heavy equipment
-
Relevant Heavy Diesel Mechanic qualifications/knowledge
-
A ‘can do’ attitude with a ‘no problem’ approach
-
The ability to work within a small team
About the company:
Our client is an NZ owned family business with branches in Auckland, Hamilton, Palmerston North and Christchurch. They have been operating for over 40 years and pride themselves on service with a difference and an excellent company culture. They operate a well-equipped and efficient workshop located at the Auckland Port, downtown Auckland. From this workshop, the team maintains a range of small to heavy materials handling equipment including forklifts, tele-trucks, toplifts, reach stackers, loaders and other equipment.
