What we’re looking for
Our Quarries division is looking for a casual operator to join our Luggate team and assist the team during the busy points the season. We are looking for someone to operate a range of heavy machinery from loaders to excavators to water carts, and who can slot well into a team to ensure a seamless transition.
What you’ll be doing
Working flexible hours, you will be based in the Luggate Quarry and assist in driving a water cart during summer to manage dust. You will also be expected to assist on both loaders and diggers within the quarry when necessary. The expected weekly hours will range from 15-30 hours.
While working with us you will be supported in a knowledgeable and enthusiastic team who will support you in learning our business and will ensure you enjoy coming to work.
The skills we’re after
The candidate will be able to work well with others and have a mind for health and safety while you are working. You will enjoy getting stuck in to any task and will enjoy working in a variety of different areas of the business.
- Minimum Class 4 license with WTR endorsement required
- Loader, excavator and truck operation experience
- Mechanically and practically minded
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Commitment to health and safety
