We are looking for a Chef De Partie who views the hospitality industry as their career! Foxglove is located on Wellington’s waterfront and is one of our busiest venues. We cater to it all, functions, work lunches, romantic date nights, you name it! To take on this role, you will need to be ready for a challenge, are you ready?
The primary purpose of the Chef de Partie is to support the Head Chef and/or Sous Chef and be part of the team. You are a leader, trainer and mentor to Junior Chefs and Kitchen Hands. We would love for our successful candidate to be passionate about creating amazing food and working in a team. By supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef, your purpose is to absorb skills needed to effectively lead a team of Chefs, understand menu costing and development and run a kitchen efficiently and innovatively.
Are you a visa holder? No need to stress…we will cover the cost of a VOC or Essential Skills visa for the successful applicant!
What you’ll have:
- At least 2 years previous experience working in a busy kitchen
- Motivation to go above and beyond expectations
- Great leadership and communication skills
- The ability to deliver great food consistently to our guests
- A desire to contribute to an upbeat culture within the team
- The ability to ensure all operational processes and procedures are adhered to
- A great eye for detail
- A positive attitude towards work and passion for food and hospitality
