The ideal fit for these roles is someone who will thrive in a fast-paced environment using their initiative and working independently, who enjoys interacting with a wide range of people (we have patients aged anywhere between newborn to 90s), has a great telephone manner, and great attention to detail.
The front desk is the lifeline to our clinic. You are the first contact for new patients who are looking for reassurance and guidance. This is where sales and promotion skills are necessary. Listening to patients’ needs and concerns is vital.
For current patients, working a schedule around their lifestyle is necessary to keep them in a program that will give healthy results. Part of this is playing a role in the education process about health and chiropractic care.
You will be required to cover other team members for sick days or holidays from time to time.
Your responsibilities:
- Greeting and welcoming patients
- Answering, screening, and forwarding phone calls
- Responding to emails
- Scheduling appointments
- Collecting and verifying payments (daily and weekly cash up, invoicing ACC, invoicing Patients)
- Collecting and verifying patient’s personal and medical information
- Preparing the practice and treatment rooms prior to the patient’s arrival
- Performing other clerical reception duties such as filing, photocopying, etc.
- Attending meetings and training as required
- Administrating screening assessments
- Admin requirements as per owner
- Cleaning office as required
Requirements:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Positivity, punctuality, and proactiveness
- Administrative experience within a healthcare setting is preferred but not essential
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand
- Due to the nature of the role, we require you to be fully vaccinated.
