Permanent part time, 20 hours per week to a roster which may include weekends, public and school holidays.
The National Aquarium of New Zealand is owned by the people of Napier and Napier City Council. It attracts 150,000 visitors each year and offers a wide range of experiences from diving displays and keeper talks, to getting up close and personal with little penguins. Its centrepiece exhibit is the stunning 1.5 million litre Oceanarium with a 50m-long viewing tunnel.
We’re looking for an experienced cleaner to help keep our Aquarium pristine for visitors. Ideally you will be able to start work immediately.
The Aquarium is a unique place to work – where else can you clean the outside of shark tanks, meet the world’s naughtiest penguin and keep an eye on our wonderful native kiwi?
Preferably you’ll have experience working in a commercial setting and have worked with industrial cleaning equipment and chemicals. The ability to be punctual, follow instructions, work methodically and unsupervised are some of the qualities we need. Some lifting may be involved from time to time and you’ll need a good level of fitness.
