Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role

Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Senior Admission and Enrolment Adviser to join our newly established Student Operations team within Tītoko. The role will be responsible for leading the professional and efficient administration and processing of admission applications and supporting enrolments, managing the day-to-day workload of the team and ensuring that applications are progressing through the admission to enrolment stages seamlessly. This role may deputise for the Manager, Admission and Enrolment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively within a deadline focused team, sharing and effectively distributing tasks when suitable.
  • Provide quality advice and guidance to students and prospective students to ensure they can make an informed decision about their course options and career path.
  • Overseeing and supervising administration and processes related to student enrolment and admissions.
  • Managing and organising the frontline services for students and staff on phones, in person and by email ensuring accurate and timely advice.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders and resolve complex admission and enrolment queries and cases.

Experience of the tertiary sector environment is essential and ideally, you will also bring the experience of leading a team in a client-facing role.
