40 hours per fortnight (0.5FTE)

An exciting opportunity of a Clinical Pharmacist Educator role has been specifically created to delivers professional leadership and education for the growing clinical pharmacist facilitator team.

The Clinical Pharmacist Educator is employed to promote quality focused; evidence-based practice through education and professional development across the clinical pharmacist facilitator team, to proactively support for the on-going provision of clinical pharmacy services in primary care.

This role will work closely with the Clinical Pharmacist Facilitator manager and team leaders as well as Health Hawkes Bay. At times the participant will be required to work on other clinical pharmacy education across services.

To be eligible for this role you will need to have the following:

  • Qualified / Registered Pharmacist holding a current Annual Practising Certificate
  • Minimum 6 years practicing working in a relevant clinical pharmacy role with an understanding of the continuum of care
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and success leading, motivating and developing others
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality, safety and clinical governance
  • Ability to contribute positively to the whole pharmacy team across the continuum of care
  • Evidence of on-going professional development
  • Knowledge of, and familiarity with, other health services including the differing paradigms in which they deliver health services
  • Demonstration of research and practice development
  • Focus on delivering high quality care for the patient/client/whānau

If you have experience in adult teaching/delivery of educational programmes or previous experience in a leadership role, this will be beneficial but not essential.
