Norwest Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist – Neurosurgery to join our operating theatre team on a full time basis. You will play a key role within a supportive team in ensuring high levels of patient care is provided.

Norwest Private Hospital is located in the rapidly developing North West corridor of Sydney and is operated by Healthscope, a leading provider of private healthcare in Australia. The hospital has 277 beds and is a high acuity facility with an Emergency Department located in Sydney’s Bella Vista.
As a Clinical Nurse your responsibilities will include:
Support the nursing team with planning, assessment, implementation and evaluation of excellent standard of evidence based, person centred
Demonstrate professional practice as evidence by adhering to AHPRA professional standards, code of ethics and conduct, legislative requirements and Healthscope’s polices and processes
Foster a learning environment through clinical presentations to support the nursing team with their professional development and maintaining own professional learning and continuous professional development and providing supervision and teaching to peers, ENs, graduates and students
Act as a valued member of the inter-disciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care
Collaborate with external partners to ensure patients receive a high quality of care across the health care continuum
Maintain professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners to enable high quality patient outcomes
Essential Criteria:
Current AHPRA registration
Minimum of 2 years’ scrub/scout experience in a Neurosurgery Operating Theatre
Post Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (or working towards)
Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
Demonstrate the ability to show initiative and work within a team environment
Passion for teaching, educating and up-skilling staff in neurosurgery operating theatres

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses and Midwives’ – Enterprise Agreement 2020 – 2024, a salary ranging from $49.31 – $68.07 per hour.
