CNC PUNCH PROGRAMMER DESIGNER
A South Auckland Jobbing Shop specialising in the supply of high-quality sheetmetal components and fabricated assemblies to NZ’s leading manufacturers and retailers. They are looking for an experienced “hands on” CNC Punch Programmer with a flair for design to join their team.
With this role, there will be opportunities to advance within the company for candidates displaying a good aptitude, as they are also looking to incorporate some managerial duties with the potential of becoming the Production Manager once a sound knowledge of their processes & business is acquired.
Skill based requirements we are looking for:
- Previous hands-on CNC Punch Machine Op experience
- Creating & modifying CNC programmes for punching machines
- Designing parts, creating drawings to customer requirements
- Manufacture samples / prototypes from proof of concept using a range of machinery
- Assisting with inspection and quality control
- Liaise with staff and customers at a technical level
- Continually look for & assist in making process improvements within company
Suitable candidates must have following skills and abilities:
- Ability to read, create and interpret technical working drawings
- Proficient user of CAD/CAM software (TruToPs Punch, FabriWIN and SolidWorks)
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts
- Strong knowledge of sheetmetal manufacturing processes
- Able to work unsupervised, multitask and prioritise workload
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Currently living in and have the right to work in NZ (including NZ Work Visa)
Job Details:
Salary: $70k – $75k/pa neg with skills, qualifications
Type: Fulltime Permanent job
Location: South Auckland
