Southern Cross’ Invercargill hospital is widely known and used by people through the Southland and the Queenstown-Wakatipu basin areas. Our hospital in Invercargill provides services to around 3,000 patients annually, has 26 in-patient beds and a day surgery unit accommodating up to 15 patients per session.
About the role
Our Invercargill hospital is looking for a Cook to join our team, in a part time role, 20 hours a week and every other weekend. You will be responsible for food preparation, ensuring that all food is purchased and served, manage and monitor Food Safety Programmes, demonstrate good standards of storage, handling, preparation and serving of food, you will ensure meals and beverages are attractively presented in a timely manner, whilst ensuring that menu planning is reviewed annually in consultation with the nursing staff and dieticians.
To be successful you will need
- Previous commercial cooking/kitchen experience
- Hold a recognisable cooking qualification (desirable)
- Good attention to detail
