Engage Abilities is a Registered Service Provider of the NDIS. Our team of highly experienced staff aim to provide our clients with quality service that reflect their needs and promote their dignity, wellbeing, abilities and independence. We are currently recruiting 3 Residential Support Workers to join our Group Home located in Oran Park.
Please note these are casual roles. We are after casual support workers available for 2 to 3 shifts per week (16 hours to 24 hours/week), 2 to 3 days a week. The role may suits students.
The role consists also of:
- Supporting clients with mental disabilities
- Providing emotional support as well as practical support for individuals such as helping with household tasks, paperwork, teaching life skills
- Helping with everyday tasks such as meal preparation, writing a shopping list, going shopping or maintaining their housing tenancy.
- Supporting the learning of new skills
- Supporting and monitoring their healthcare needs, including administering medication
- Supporting the participants to pursue hobbies and interests.
- Helping them to access community facilities and be included in community groups.
Skills and knowledge required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A compassionate approach with strong work ethic are essential for this role.
- Driver licence with full comprehensive car insurance is required
