We are currently looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our team based in the Invercargill TAB branch. This is a 4 month maternity leave cover role with a possibility to be extended. Working in the team will allow you to have access to shifts across 7 days and with the branch opening hours from Monday – Sunday 10am – 9pm, you will work on a roster basis across a range of shifts.

About the role

As the face of the business, you will be the first point of contact for our customers. While providing excellent customer service you will quickly and accurately assist in the placing of bets while creating an engaging experience. Cash handling and confidence in your numeric skills are a must with a high volume of cash handling being done on a day to day basis.

Further, you will provide expert product knowledge and advice to our customers and create an atmosphere that highlights the organisation as a fun and welcoming environment.

You must be available to work within our opening hours of Monday – Sunday 10am – 9pm across a 7 day period, and this will include some evening and weekend work, including the possibility of public holidays.

As our new retail staff member, you will have some experience in:

  • Cash handling or till experience
  • Excellent customer service
  • Previous TAB experience is highly beneficial, though not essential
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Great communications skills
  • Flexibility in shifts
  • A positive attitude day in day out
  • The ability to learn and become a product expert
