An exciting opportunity exists to join the School of Medicine at Western Sydney University. The School of Medicine has celebrated its 10th anniversary and continues to pursue excellence in education and research and aims to teach students in a way that is contemporary and highly relevant to their eventual careers.
The Neuroimmunology laboratory is a research-intensive discipline located on the Campbelltown Campus within the state-of-the-art School of Medicine building. Current areas of research centre around developing effective therapies and early diagnosis for protein-misfolding diseases using novel biologics.
The primary responsibility of the Research Assistant will be to support in the development of a diagnostic test screen for Alzheimers disease under supervision. This position provides the opportunity to be part of an exciting research team with the potential to develop skills in a wide variety of fields related to drug and biologics development.
This is a part time (0.8 FTE), fixed term appointment for 12 months, located at the Campbelltown Campus.
