Position Information

Kellyville Ridge Public School is situated in The Ponds network with an enrolment of 720 students, including 57% EAL/D students. Selection Criteria

In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary with evidence of leading and modelling instructional leadership through exemplary curriculum knowledge and quality learning and teaching practices, maximising student learning outcomes.

Outstanding ability to effectively initiate, lead and monitor the implementation and progress of the school’s strategic directions and whole school plan to inform continuous school improvement in a climate of trust, respect and accountability.

Exceptional ability to work collaboratively as part of the executive team to build the capacity of staff by leading differentiated professional learning to improve the performance of individuals and teams, with a strong emphasis on data analysis, planning innovative educational programs, in-class support and feedback.

Highly visible and approachable leader with exceptional interpersonal skills to engage all students, staff and parents of a culturally and linguistically diverse community and promote the values of academic excellence, positive relationships, well-being and engagement of all stakeholders.

Extensive evidence of being a consultative leader who embraces student voice to deliver a school’s shared vision for excellence in teaching and learning, increase engagement and ensuring that every student is known, valued and achieves success.

General Selection Criteria

1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice

2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs

3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams

4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents

5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning

6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department’s Aboriginal education policies

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.

From 8 November 2021 all Department of Education employees undertaking relevant work , including any work conducted on a NSW school site, will be required to meet mandatory double vaccination requirements against COVID-19. The successful candidate for this position will be required to meet mandatory double vaccination requirements prior to the Department of Education finalising the appointment of the candidate and entry on duty.
