Te Tūranga – The opportunity
Join our tight cross-functional product team of designers, developers and project staff and help deliver accessible, modern, performant and user-focused websites that RNZ’s audience love.
You will join our small, supportive internal development team and — alongside the Development Lead and other developers — you’ll build compelling new digital products that make the most of the high-quality content RNZ produces. You’ll also work with our external development partners to provide support for existing systems as we work to progressively replace them.
- Web application development — for new public-facing web products as well as enhancements to existing products
- Ongoing service delivery — support and maintenance
- Collaborative process improvement
Ōu Pūkenga – About you
You will:
- Have a software development or related degree-level qualification or equivalent experience
- Thoroughly understand internet protocols and languages
- Have a solid understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS at scale and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Have experience and expertise working with RESTful APIs
- Have experience creating sustainable software through standards-based, best-practice software development and problem-solving
