VAPELAB is Wellington’s leading Specialist Vape Retailer. Since 2016 we have successfully helped thousands of people both here in New Zealand and abroad transition to a healthier lifestyle by trading traditional cigarettes for vaping.
We are currently seeking an energetic, and motivated individual to fill the unique role of Digital Content / eCommerce Coordinator within our Wellington team! This could be a part-time or full-time role for the right candidate, working 10-35 hours per week.
This is a varied role that will entail a combination of eCommerce administration tasks and digital content creation as well as some retail sales. It is best suited to someone who is positive, confident and creative with a passion for providing an excellent customer experience. Good attention to detail, as well as the ability to self-motivate, are key. You should have an excellent work ethic and outstanding organisational skills.
Your responsibilities may include (depending on skillset):
- Liaising with the e-commerce and management teams as required.
- Online product management – product page creation for our e-commerce platform. This includes sourcing imagery, editing product images to achieve a consistent look across our e-commerce platform, and writing high-quality and unique product descriptions.
- Written content creation – producing bespoke, high-quality copy and written content across all digital platforms for marketing and promotional activities.
- Visual content creation – product imagery, banners, and marketing material for in-store, online and across our social media platforms.
- General e-commerce administration duties such as website maintenance. This includes checking that all communication/content is relevant, up-to-date and consistent with brand tonality and personality.
- Email marketing campaigns – working collaboratively to create visual and written content for marketing campaigns to drive sales and brand recognition.
- Providing customer support when necessary via our email and social media channels.
We are looking for someone who can:
- Communicate clearly and effectively with our team and customers and contribute to the company’s values and culture of achieving a smoke-free New Zealand by 2025.
- Contribute and add value to the team by demonstrating a willing, ‘can-do’ attitude.
- Focus on attention to detail, diligence and maximising efficiency and time.
- Willingly adapt and learn new skills to grow personally and professionally within the organisation.
- Anticipate needs, self-manage and work under pressure during busy periods.
Comprehensive and ongoing training will be provided, although please let us know if any of the below apply to you;
- Knowledge of the vape industry or the products that we sell.
- Copywriting and media skills including photography and/or videography.
- Good knowledge of digital editing software including Adobe Photoshop and/or Canva.
- Experience using eCommerce platforms such as Shopify.
- Experience in retail sales.
