District Nurse – Fixed Term for 12 months

Full Time or Part Time Positions

64-80 hours per fortnight (0.8-1.0FTE)

We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our District Nursing team for 12 months to cover a staff member on parental leave.

Community Nursing provides a wide range of specialist nursing care in the community, with the aim enabling our patients to stay healthier for longer and closer to home.

It is essential that you have a current unendorsed NZ driver licence, a strong customer service focus, and have a broad range of clinical skills including wound management (both acute and chronic), intravenous therapy, urinary catheter management, as well as knowledge in the management of long-term conditions. Ideally, you will have experience in a community setting, however, we will consider all applicants who can demonstrate practise at a proficient level as per Te Matau a Māui, Hawke’s Bay Professional Development and Recognition Programme (see the attached Position Profile).

The role would appeal to those who enjoy the challenges and variety associated with working autonomously in the community environment, and may lead to permanent roles within the Community Nursing Services.
