Groomer’s Assistant
Headline: Grooming Assistant with experience in the grooming industry is welcomed but NOT required, performing animal grooming duties such as washing, brushing, drying coats, cutting nails, cleaning ears, shampooing, and assessing pets. Answering phones and scheduling appointments. Cleaning and organizing work areas.
Skills: Microsoft Office, Data Entry, Customer Service, Scheduling.
Description:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Performed opening tasks, ensuring store cleanliness and readiness for the day.
- Assisted the groomer with any animal with behavior problems.
- Responsible for making sure the customer information cards are complete with the current information (contact numbers, grooming notes, dogs’ weight).
- Maintain store supplies and retail inventory.
- Responsible for filling out the Pet Report Cards.
- Perform basic grooming duties that include bathing, brushing, nail trims, brushing and blow-drying.
- Conducted informational sessions about techniques for pet parents to do at home.
- Removing trash, urine, and feces multiple times daily
- Any other task that may come about.
We are not in a rush to fill this position as we are looking for the right person.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22,300.00 – $50,000.00 per year
