We are looking for an export specialist with a background in shipping or freight forwarding to join our Auckland team. You will manage the end to end export process for a dedicated customer base, and provide the highest level of customer service. This is a busy role with plenty of customer contact.
About the role
- Handling FCL consignments from quoting/booking stage through to documentation, invoicing, final delivery and file reconciliation for a dedicated customer base
- Assist customers with forecasting
- Liaising with overseas agents on local regulations and pricing
- Liaising with local suppliers including trucking companies, warehouses and shipping companies.
About you
- Relevant NZ export experience (Minimum 3 years)
- A sound knowledge of Incoterms and NZ freight industry
- Computer literate with good keyboard skills and Cargowise experience
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Understanding of foreign security filing requirements eg: AMS, ISF etc
- Proficiency with numbers and freight calculations
- Great customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work to deadlines with resilience to work peaks
