What you will do:
- Lead the financial function for the privately owned business based in central Wellington
- Ensure effective financial reporting is provided to the directors, group’s management and external parties
- Provide effective oversight of the finance function and accountant
- Manage the reporting, foreign exchange, investments and cash flows of the business
- Ensure regulatory reporting requirements are met
- Provide high quality financial information to assist in the decision making and planning for the business.
What we are looking for:
- A well experienced financial manager capable of building trust with the Directors and team colleagues
- A relationship developer, internally and externally, to build collaborative relationships based on mutual respect
- An achiever with a results focus to support a culture that listens to others’ contributions
- Professionalism, dedication and competence.
You don’t need to be a qualified accountant but you will need a solid rounding in financial and management reporting preferably with costing and/or international trade experience.
You need to be able to work in an entrepreneurial environment by providing robust financial advice, thinking ahead, planning the future, caring for the business outcomes and adding value across the commercial and financial issues of the business.
