Fleet Operations Administrator – KiwiRail – Wellington City, Wellington

We are searching for an administrator with an eye for detail to join our Interislander Shore Operations team in Wellington as a Fleet Operations Administrator on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the Fleet Customer Delivery Manager, you will be providing support to the Interislander Warehouse, Production Kitchen and Engineering Workshop teams to ensure the on-time delivery of goods to our Interislander vessels.

You will be responsible for:

• Maintaining our systems to ensure accurate delivery of goods and inventory control
• Ordering of inventory and undertaking regular stock takes
• Processing invoices and documentation for products being delivered to the Interislander warehouse and vessels in a timely manner
• Reporting and investigating any discrepancies in inventory records

This is a full time, Monday to Friday role.

This role needs a self-starter who can work without direct supervision and is able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

To be successful in this role, you will also have:

• The ability to work autonomously, prioritise your work and ensure everything is kept organized
• Previous experience within an administrative role supporting a busy team
• A high level of competency using MS Office suite and other systems
• The ability to think outside of the box to problem solve if issues arise
• Meticulous attention to detail
