FSU Undergraduate Student Federal Work-Study Employment – Fitchburg, MA 01420

The Student Development Office is seeking a federal aid recipient for student employment. This position will be funded by federal work study dollars; only students that receive financial aid awards can be considered for this specific role. Please see below the specific duties and responsibilities of the position.

Successful candidates must be able to assist in providing opportunities for positive change through community service initiatives and to act as a liaison between the University and the non-profit agencies of the surrounding communities. Staff will need to provide clerical duties, answering phones and emails and by providing friendly customer service to patrons. Including maintaining a clean, organized and professional appearance to the office. Assistance will need to be provided to assess, collaborate with, plan, promote and implement events pertaining to the integration of the University and City communities. Be able to create and distribute of outreach materials, encouraging student involvement. Knowledge and/or willingness to learn about volunteer opportunities and community service programming will be necessary. Good computer and typing skills, as well as, effective verbal and written communication skills are needed.

Job Requirements:

All students who work for the Office of Student Development must achieve and maintain a semester GPA of at least 2.0, along with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.

Additional Information:

Part time non-benefited student only position. Students should expect to work at least 8, but no more than 20, hours per week. $14.25 per hour.
