About the role:
You will be responsible for ensuring stock are slaughtered in accordance with Muslim religious requirements to meet our overseas Halal market access requirements and be eligible to enter that country. You must meet the Animal Products (Overseas Market Access Requirements for Halal Assurances) Notice 2010 competency requirements for Halal slaughter persons.
Ideally, you will:
- Be a religious Muslim who is FIANZ certified and eligible to practice as a Halal Slaughterman
- Have your NZQA Unit Standards 25926,25927,20644 qualifications for Halal Slaughter
- Have experience in slaughtering Sheep and Beef to the required standard
- Be a great communicator with good interpersonal skills and time management
- Be systematic, ensuring stock is slaughtered in the correct manner, with good attention to detail
- Have an NZ residency or valid NZ work visa.
