About the Position
The College is seeking to appoint a permanent part-time 0.6 FTE Visual Arts Administrator at our Stanmore Secondary Campus during term-time only (38 weeks per year).
The Visual Arts Administrator will be required to work across:
Visual Arts Department:
- asset inventory and stocktake of all art materials
- ordering of art materials through synergetic maintaining relationships with Suppliers
- sourcing products and compiling orders
- ensuring invoices are collected and sent for payment
- preparation of teaching materials when required (this will only be sometimes)
- the hanging of student work in the main hallway and classroom with consultation with teaching staff.
- keeping the storerooms and staff room store stocked organized and tidy.
- administrative paperwork for excursions, art awards, incursions
- general support of art staff resource preparation for classes
- semester Maintenance of print presses, laser cutters for servicing
Photographic and digital Media:
- the administration and stock take and organization of all PDM equipment, lenses, camera bodies, tripods, charges, lights, booms and other support equipment
- the cataloguing and lending out/ borrowing of cameras
- sending off damaged equipment for repair.
- following up return of borrowed equipment from staff and students
Concordia Gallery:
- administrative support for the curator of Concordia Gallery.
- submission point and printing of exhibition catalogues, labels and digitized content.
- organisation of some logistics relating to resident artists

About You
We have deliberately not provided set and narrow selection criteria. However, it would be expected that the successful candidate will:
- have appropriate knowledge of art materials and resources relevant to the position
- work effectively as a member of an enthusiastic team
- have highly tuned administrative, organisational and communication skills with a knowledge of data bases excel and word. Any skills in the adobe suite would be favourable
