Are you an experienced senior chef looking for your next adventure? Our client is looking for a talented, commercially minded and driven Head Chef to lead the kitchen at their popular restaurant in Christchurch’s CBD.
The who
It goes without saying that you’ll come with plenty of experience in a busy commercial kitchen serving high-end dishes made with care and creativity. You’ll be a leader by nature but you must have an even temperament, no throwing pots and pans in this kitchen! You’ll be driven by your food costs and have a sound understanding of how to work within budgets and exceed sales targets.
The role
You’ll be charged with leading a talented kitchen team and inspiring them in a hands on manner ensuring consistency across the board. You’ll be a pro at improving and maintaining wage and food costs and as a commercially driven Head Chef you’ll understand how a successful restaurant is run. Developing and training less experienced chefs will come naturally to you and will have experience with the recruitment and induction of chefs.
