Kitchen Stewards
We are looking for energetic, hardworking, and enthusiastic individuals to aid in our kitchen operations at the Hermitage Hotel. Experience is desirable but not essential; your CV and referees must show a proven record of commitment, hard work, and willingness to take on a challenging and essential role. You will need a strong sense of personal and professional hygiene as you will be working in a food environment. You should be physically fit, as this is a physically demanding role, and having a strong team mentality and good communication skills are important.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Cleaning in all stewarding areas – pot wash / dish wash / café
• Cleaning of kitchen’s food preparation areas including fridges/freezers, food storage areas and walkways.
• Cleaning of equipment, floors and other areas as required
• Assisting in maintaining hygiene standards throughout the kitchens
• Transferring and checking supplies and equipment, communicating needs, and ordering as required
• Basic food preparation including washing / peeling / cutting
• Work as part of the stewarding team to maintain a pleasant and safe working environment
• Actively and positively communicate and promote comradery between all food and beverage departments
