About Role:
As a Design Engineer you will be part of the high performing Hamilton based team. Providing support to clients, the sales and manufacturing teams by preparing, updating, and issuing technical documentation to the specific requirements of the sale.
- Propose and develop product solutions in response to client enquiries, tenders, or needs analysis
- Management of bid or tender projects
- Develop energy system concepts, plant configurations and layouts in conjunction with Engineering.
- Prepare and collate full tender or proposal submissions.
- Review specification, drawings, and related documents to enable suitable product selections
- Create quotation documents using Epicor quotation system.
- Provide technical support to the sales team as required
- Provide up-front engineering information to enable the smooth progress of design activities.
- Manage Production Prototypes, Pre-production Release and full Product Release
- Develop production information packs
- Provide manufacturing technical support
- Develop new BOM structures and Production Routings

About You:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a technical-commercial role in industry or engineering consultancy (e.g. Sales, estimating, project management)
- Commercial or technical skills related to contract law, tendering, estimating, project planning or financial analysis.
- Knowledge and experience of production systems.
- Knowledge of BOM systems and MRP
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong project management skills
- Experience in the Refrigeration or HVAC industry
- Experience using Solid Works CAD or Inventor preferred
- Experience in AutoCAD preferred
- Experience in plant and boiler designs preferred
- Experience in a sheet-metal related industry preferred
