The Govett-Brewster Art Gallery is seeking one permanent part-time (18 hours per week) Information Officer to support our front of house operations in our outstanding Customer Services Team. This role is part of a recruitment drive for multiple front of house team members, please also check our other advertisements.
As the key point of contact for the gallery’s wide-ranging visitors, you will be welcoming, approachable and keen to engage with visitors to enhance their experience of the gallery. You will be active in the gallery environment by helping visitors with information about exhibitions, events, art and artists, as well as ensuring impeccable presentation of the gallery is maintained. You will focus on health and safety by ensuring a clean and safe space is maintained for visitors and the art on display.
To be successful you will be capable of providing exceptional customer service in any situation. While you will enjoy being part of a team, you will also be happy to work independently.
The gallery is a 364 day-a-year operation, so you would need to be available for some evening and regular weekend work. A roster system is currently in place. This role includes event support and giving guided tours as required. Experience working with tour groups, events, audio-visual equipment and computers is advantageous.

You can expect to start in this role with us between $49,192 – $51,242 pro-rata.
