About the role:
Based at our Auckland campus, the International Student Support Officer is responsible for providing a superior level of customer service to all internal and external stakeholders which includes students, sales support, and the academic teams across all campuses. This role is a key point of contact for the Academic team who initiate changes and the Admissions team who need to update offer documents as required. Some of your other the key duties will include:
- To conduct internal auditing on a regular basis to ensure all data is kept in SMS are accurate and up to date
- Assist international students in completing paperwork etc. as required
- Respond to all enquires within 24 hours and resolved within 48 hours
- Active participation in Orientation in consultation with the Team Lead and Head of Student Services to ensure they are receiving the best levels of customer service
- Work with the team on any visa or insurance problems.
About you:
You will describe yourself as an energetic people person who can easily relate to both on and offshore international students, someone who can proactively provide pastoral assistance and get things done in a timely manner. You will be very approachable, customer focused and a great source of information and support for the students.
To be successful in this role, you must understand visas and the requirement of Immigration New Zealand and have:
- Superior levels of customer service
- An understanding of the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students
- A good command of the English language and the ability to communicate well to a diverse range of cultures and personalities
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
- Administrative/office experience including the use of CRM and Student Management Systems.
