Trinity Grammar School is seeking an enthusiastic Laboratory Assistant – Biology to work in our Science department. Working as a part of the wider Science team, the Laboratory Assistant works closely with the teaching staff and the Head of Faculty in the preparation and presentation of learning resources.
If you have a love of Science, an interest in education and are almost obsessed with being organised, then this might be the role for you. Your likeable personality will help you adjust quickly and become an invaluable part of the team along with your knowledge and experience working in and around laboratory equipment and materials will assist in making this job fun and interesting. If you have a passion for Science and an interest in sharing your knowledge with the next generation of aspiring scientist we want to hear from you.
The role provides high-level support to both the students and the teachers, as well as providing an avenue for the evaluation, development and implementation of initiatives to improve School processes. You will play a pivotal role in the acquisition, set up, delivery and integration of materials and core skills both through classroom and student led research initiatives.
You must be committed to excellence and innovation in solution design and delivery and possess a strong desire for professional growth and development. The position calls for a proactive and approachable person who can encourage, develop, and nurture the growth of colleagues. You must exercise your duties and all aspects of this role from within a Christian framework, promoting positive Christian values.

Professional Experience and Requirements
Essential
p Qualifications in Science or equivalent. Preference for Biology major (but not essential)
p Valid NSW Working With Children Check (Employment status)
p Valid COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate or COVID-19 Vaccine Medical Contraindication Exemption (subject to WHS review)
p Current First Aid Certificate
p Current CPR Certificate
Desirable
p Experience in working in an educational setting
p Knowledge of Microsoft 365/Sharepoint Online and Google suite
