We’re looking for some new system administrators to join our vibrant learning & development team, supporting MPI’s two Totara Learning Management Systems.
Our Senior Learning Systems Administrator has moved on after eight years, creating opportunities for 1.5 fulltime and/or part time administrators to job share in supporting learning for MPI.
- Are you an experienced system admin who delivers great customer service?
- Are you a naturally curious, with a talent for solving tricky problems?
- Can you happily juggle multiple priorities under pressure?
The Learning Systems Admin will be responsible providing first line support and advice to users, course creators and business stakeholders. You’ll oversee the system and platform maintenance and take an active role in system upgrades. You will maintain the integrity of the data and content across both sites.

Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the Role
The Learning Systems Administrator’s maintains and develops the on-going reliability and performance of the external and internal Learning Management Systems (LMS) at MPI, and support users and stakeholders to make effective use of the system.
The Learning Systems Administrators have responsibility for the following areas:

- First line support – Facilitating user access and providing support for users.
- Learning content –The creation, maintenance, and quality assurance of all learning content.
- Data & reporting – Maintaining the integrity of users and system data.
- System maintenance – Facilitate software, system, and server maintenance.
- Continuous improvement – Contribute to the improvement of the system and product roadmap
Mōu – About You
Ideally you are an experienced Learning management system administrator or helpdesk guru wanting to take on learning technology as a key part of your role. As part of our large L&D team, you will bring your customer service skills and systems expertise to problem solve and support our people to be successful in their work – right across our diverse primary industries.
Accessibility and usability will be at the forefront of your practice along with a passion for continuous improvement.
You will work collaboratively with L&D colleagues and Learning Systems administrators to deliver value to our customers. You will have a high attention to detail and be experienced with quality assurance processes and testing techniques.
Occasionally able to work outside of office hours when required for system changes.
