LIBRARY ASSISTANT CITY TEAM
INFORMATION SERVICES CITY LIBRARY
(Permanent Part Time 20.5 hours per week)
The Dunedin Public Library is seeking a Library Assistant to join the City Library Team
- Wednesday – Friday 4.45pm-8.15pm
- Saturday -10.45am-4.15pm
- Sunday – 10.45am-4.15pm
This is a frontline customer services role primarily in the Information Services team, but you can be rostered to work across all City Library teams including the Youth, and Lending Services teams.
Duties will include assisting customers in their use of the library, rostered shifts can be on Help desk, AV desk, Information Services desk, Youth desk, Reader’s Advisory, Returns, Shelving, Admin tasks, Assisting customers in the use of technology.
You must be able to use your initiative and work both independently and as a member of the team. The ability to assist members of the public in a professional manner is essential in this role and excellent customer service and computer skills are also a must-have. Previous library experience is desirable.
