Permanent, Part-time, 0.3 FTE (12 hours per week)
The Library assistant works as part of a two-person team for 12 hours per week and ideally the person could work a Thursday. Additional hours in librarian’s absence may be required occasionally.
You will be responsible for providing fantastic frontline customer service, as well as performing a range of library and administration tasks, that includes though not limited to:

Helping people use library resources, equipment and software

Managing the print and electronic journal collections

Locating and supplying articles online
-
Checking, shelving and processing of books and journals
It would be ideal if you have:

Excellent literacy skills, particularly spelling

Familiarity with library systems and processes
-
Confidence using technology and quick to learn new software

The ability to use Microsoft Word proficiently
-
An understanding of hospital functions and medical terminology would be helpful
